After taking some initial photos we leave traditional high school senior photography behind and explore the high-fashion look you would expect to find more near New York City or even in Milano, Italy. Art Show a huge success ...

7 photographers shared their photographic art with the local community, last Friday evening. Intermediate and advanced photographers proudly presented their work for the first time in public. Art pieces by Annina Janett Studer, Ausitn Vieldhouse, Debra Leo, Gregory Vazzana, Keith Thompson, Merrill Friedman and Michael Smith were on display. The local community supported the event with more than 120 visitors. Hosted by C1M Photography at 117 Emerson Road in Milford, the Photographic Art Show was a huge success.
The popular vote went to Debra Leo for her photo titled Cinnamon Swirl.

First C1M Photography Fashion Model Palooza was a total success.
At an all day catered event professional photographers came together to photograph strikingly beautiful models on sophisticated fashion photography sets. The photographers gathered to shoot stunning high-end images that featured professional hair and makeup with coordinated wardrobe and professionally arranged sets. The event took place on Saturday, Feb. 5th, at C1M Photography studios in Milford, NH.
7 stunning models, 24 sandwiches, 4 professional hair and makeup artists, 1 gallon strawberry mimosas, 9 photographers, 2 video camera operators, 5 cans of hair-spray, 900 cubic inches of greek salad, 2 tubs foundation, 7 makeup kits, several GB of video, 3 tubs of salad dressing, 6,400 Watts of lighting, 12 cameras, tons of beauty, 2 high-end fashion photography sets, were needed to yield a successful first time ever C1M Fashion Model Palooza.

Milford, NH: Art Gallery Show as the grand finale of our intermediate photography class.

C1M Academy is the educational wing of C1M Photography, LLC and we offer a comprehensive course structure to teach photography from beginners to experts. The basic photography class introduces students in depth to the mechanical and functional concepts of the mostly digital camera equipment. The intermediate photography class introduces students to elements and principles of visual design.
The advanced photography class brings it all together in a fun and rewarding way. The class size is limited to 10 students and the classes are selling out. Both, the advanced photography class and the intermediate photography class end with a Photographic Art Gallery Show.
These photos are from the most recent intermediate class Photographic Art Gallery Show at C1M Studios in Milford, NH. 10 students displayed their work and about 100 guests came, saw and purchased. One of the students told me "There are few feelings that surpass the moment when you sold your first piece of art work". What a wonderful thing to be able to give to my students.

Justin over at the Altos Marketing Group needed a shot of an iPad to promote a clients FaceBook page. I was glad to help. We turned the request around within a day. It is nice having a commercial photography studio all set up and ready to go. All we needed to do was placing the iPad on a white background, monkey around with the lights a little and press the button.

Aliens protect people and safe lives. Aliens are safety devices that are installed on large commercial buildings to provide anchor points for service personnel to clip their safety harness to. Back in April I took a test administered by the Professional Photographers Association of America. Well, - I passed. Then they wanted to see my body of work, which I submitted mid of October. Today I received my certificate. stating that I am now a Certified Professional Photographer. Whoo hooo!
The Professional Photographic Communication Commission writes:
When you hire a photographer, you want the best—but ensuring that you get the best photographer for the job can be a difficult task. That is where we can help.
As the leading certifying agency for imaging professionals, the Professional Photographic Certification program is recognized throughout the industry. lends itself to make pink putters. Aportion of the proceeds goes to
cancer research. The putters made out of the very hard mineral can be
played and Stoneedgeputters, a local venture, is seeking PGA approval.
Not stopping there, the company launched a blue putter to help with prostate
cancer.

The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted the Veterans Count Dinner Auction at Cirtronics in Milford, NH. C1M supported the event by donating Relationship Portrait sessions including a free print. Apparently, guestst liked the idea, as the C1M items were auctioned off at a higher value than the price listed. A thank you to all who bid and supported the Veternas Count auction. Especially, to those who bid on the C1M items.

Kids Fun Fair at the Hampshire Dome

Saturday, April 18th from 10:00AM to 2:00PM Parenting New Hampshire hosted a Family Fun Fair at the Hampshire Dome in Milford. Just around the corner from C1M, we could not resist and entertained kids and parents at the C1M booth with storytelling imagery and ballon animals.

On Saturday March 14th, 2009, C1M hosted a lighting class for the New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association.

Topics covered were, among others: basic portrait lighting, different lighting styles, posing for portrait photography and putting it all together.

C1M Academy Launches NH-Photography-Classes.com

A while ago, when teaching photography or Photoshop, we started to refer to the classes as C1M Academy. Up until now, the classes were for professional photographers only.

C1M Academy launched a new web site under the domain of www.NH-Photography-Classes.com to bring photography classes, workshops and seminars to photography enthusiasts in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New England in general.

C1M Academy offers 9 classes for photography enthusiasts from beginner to expert and can take you from the first workshop: "Getting to Know Your Camera" all the way to "Advanced Image Manipulation Techniques". The photography workshops are usually on a Saturday from 10:00 AM to about 4:30 PM and are held at the C1M Studio in Milford, NH. The class schedule can be found on the web site.

In addition to the classes, workshops and seminars for photographers and photography enthusiasts, C1M Academy also offers workshops for professional photographers interested in expanding their professional portfolio. Details are on the web site.

Author, Teacher and Life Coach Gail Jones was looking to update her photographs for her web site. On a very snowy Tuesday, we met at her Studio for Crafting Lives and shot some images. Some are portraits, but most were of an interactive nature. In spite of the bad weather outside, we got everything done within half a day.

Andrea and Ingo will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. Congratulations.

They are both from the small village I grew up in, in Germany. They stopped by C1M and had their portrait taken. I was glad to provide them with an image they both liked a lot.

Boys & Girls Club charity portrait

In their effort to raise funds for various endeavours the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley asked for a donation for their annual auction. We donated a family portrait session and photographed a wonderfully nice family last Saturday. Kelly, Brad, Zack and Bekkah granted a glimpse into their family life. Thank you for that. We got beautiful photos that were rich in emotion and connection. See for yourself.

Icestorm hits New Hampshire hard ...

On December 11, 2008, from Thursday night into Friday morning New Hampshire was hit by an ice storm that for the most part paralyzed New England. From what I saw, up to 1/4" of ice covered trees, branches and wires , adding a tremendous weight that forced many trees to topple over. Some got stuck in the power and service lines.
Altough public service crews are working day and night to restore electricity to households, many people are still with out power as I write this. My house is one of the ones still withot power and may continue to be for a week more.

Family photography captures 1 moment for charity...

I have a photo from back in Germany showing me on the day of my confirmation. I was 15 years old and looking good. That is the only picture I have of my youth.
The photo is very valuable to me, as nothing is harder to replace than yesterday.
I donated some photography work to families that cannot afford family pictures, because I realize how important it is to capture them now, as it will be different tomorrow.
Working with the Nashua Telegraph's Santa Fund, the Salvation Army located a family in need, that would appreciate what I could do to help.

Through the eye of a needle...

This is the inside of an eye of a needle with a human hair. Taken with a Hasselblad camera and a Zeiss lens. The same camera NASA took to the moon.

I was trying out the camera's capabilities when I shot this. The detail is amazing and the sharpnes of the lens is incredible.

Scott Larsen is a very talented young man, skilled in singing, dance and acting. His pleasant personality comes out right off the bat and you easily see the twinkle in his eyes.

He was very relaxed in front of the camera, very easy to photograph and he is on a sure footed way to stardom.

But then, just for kicks, we wanted to try something else and came up with this dramatic grimy and scary look that could easily freighten small children and maybe even some weak hearted adults as well.

But hey, it's Halloween.

Today I was lucky enough to photograph Nelson Perry with his saxophone. Here is a young man well on his way to greatness. Nelson is not only super nice, but also very skilled with his music. And with a name like that, you have to be cool.

Christine Hunt, Mrs. New Hamshire 2008 reigns in the C1M studios. In preparation for her Mrs. America pageant that takes place in Tucson, AZ in September, Christine needed images to sway the judges. Of course we were happy to help. Nothing thrills us more than making a beautiful woman look even more beautiful and provide imagery that dazzles you with her riveting beauty.

Using our fashion runway segment, we photographed Mrs. New Hampshire right here in our studios for her Photogenic competition. We captured some images that really show Christine's stunning beauty.
