On December 11, 2008, from Thursday night into Friday morning New Hampshire was hit by an ice storm that for the most part paralyzed New England. From what I saw, up to 1/4" of ice covered trees, branches and wires , adding a tremendous weight that forced many trees to topple over. Some got stuck in the power and service lines.Altough public service crews are working day and night to restore electricity to households, many people are still with out power as I write this. My house is one of the ones still withot power and may continue to be for a week more.
